FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is Eyebrow Microblading or Feathering?
Eyebrow Microblading also known as Feathering is a semi-permanent form of cosmetic tattooing done using a manual tool to create natural looking eyebrows.
The procedure implants coloured pigment into the dermis layer of the skin to create natural “hairlike” strokes giving the appearance of a natural realistic finish.
Healing can take up to 7-14 days. Some swelling & redness is normal, this will subside within 1-2 days. Your brows may look dark for the first couple of days but they will settle and start to form as a scab, then it will peel. See below in-depth healing stages.
DAY 1: Your brows will look very dramatic and feel quite tender, swollen and may have some slight bleeding.
DAY 2: They will look thicker and darker than day 1. Still tender and slightly red.
DAY 3-4: Pain and tenderness begins to subside while brows still look thick and dark.
DAY 5-7: This is the worst stage as serious scabbing begins and skin peels away. Brows will become itchy as a layer of scabbing begins to form. DO NOT PICK. These scabs are apart of the normal healing process. Itching may result in loss of pigment.
DAY 7-10: Scabs begin to flake off on their own and the brows will look very light and may have some spots missing. Dont be alarmed this is what your touch up appointment is for!
DAY 14-28: The ehaling process is almost coming to an end. The fine hair strokes will begin to return, the colour will even out and the brow will look as desired.
DAY 28-60: Schedule your complimentary touch up appointment ti fill in any areas that may have come off with scabbing!
After care instructions should be followed to ensure that eyebrows have healed accordingly.

Please do not pluck or wax your eyebrows as I will be shaping them myself. Waxing & plucking casues swelling and unevenness in tattoing and can take of a fine layer of skin causing increased sensitivity and increase the chance of infection.
How do I know you will select the best eyebrow shape for me?
We will design your brow shape according to facial features, shape and proportion rules. Each brow design is unique to the client and their facial features. Brow mapping usually takes around 30 minutes and measured with brow calipers to ensure symmetrical for you to approve before we begin. We will not commence the tattoo process until you are completely happy with the pre-drawing.
I have an old eyebrow tattoo, can you go over it?
Please notify us if you have previous cosmetic tattoo visible in the eyebrow area. Many older cosmetic tattoos (8+ years) were created with pigments that hold heavy metals such as Titanium Dioxide that don’t break down. Some of these pigments will never fade, change colour over time and migrate throughout the brow area. It is really common to see unsymmetrical or patchy work as a result from under skilled technicians. Covering them will may not always give the best outcome. If the old tattoo has shown any of these signs I suggest part or complete removal first. Starting with a clean canvas will allow the artist to achieve the best work possible.
